Your Guide, Tsewang Yangjore
He was born and raised in Ladakh. He is equally at home in both Indian, Tibetan and Ladakhi cultures, and speaks several local languages and dialects.
His in-depth knowledge, interpersonal skills and organisational abilities led to his recruitment as an assistant guide and eventual promotion to tour leader with the Australian-owned travel company, World Expeditions Delhi India. He spent the next 14 years leading visitors from around the world on a range of adventures through Ladakh, India and Bhutan: from camel desert safaris and mountain treks to cycling tours and white-water rafting expeditions.
In 2009, Tsewang Yangjore established his own business, Watse Expeditions, in order to provide a more personalised travel service, specialising in custom-designed expeditions tours and treks for client groups with a variety of interests and from all walks of life. (To date, his tour participants have ranged in age from 15 to 85!) He enjoys assisting his clients to gain a sense of personal achievement through meeting the physical challenges of exploring breathtakingly diverse terrain, as well as expanding their knowledge and understanding of the region rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
For many of his clients, their journey brings life-changing experiences and wonderful stories to share along the way with Tsewang Yangjore, fellow travellers and family and friends, when they return home.
He believes it is a privilege to be able to provide people with such wonderful memories about the world where he lives.
